Uphill Challenge


PRESENTATION

The Uphill Challenge is a charity cycling race that is organised by Uphill Challenge asbl, the ACC Contern and the cycling club Hirondelle Schuttrange. The goal of the event is to raise money for a good cause by completing a 236m climb at the Hostert Charly’s Gare as fast and as much as possible within 3 hours. The benefits of the 2019 edition will be donated to the "Médecins du Monde" charity organization. Registration is free and it is possible to participate as an individual or in a relay team. All participants are encouraged to find sponsors willing to participate in the fund raising.

ACCESS

HOSTERT is situated in the North-East of Luxemburg-town and can easily be reached by taking exit 9 (Senningerberg) on the motorway A1 Trier-Luxemburg. After that, you should take the N1 road to Senningerberg and continue on the CR126 rue du Golf and rue du Grünewald in direction of Echternach. Parking and changing rooms are in the Stade Jos Becker, at the crossing of the CR126 in direction of Echternach and the CR126A to Hostert and Ernster. The course is not far away from there.

COURSE

The course is approximately 1 km long, including the famous climb of Hostert with 30m of change in altitude. The maximum slope of the climb is close to 15 %
