Tour de Suisse (8th stage)

Kirchen: 3rd at 1'53" / Schleck: 21st at 3'37" of Paolo Bettini

After 2 difficult days, Kirchen is on the attack again. In a group of 15 riders, he escapes after 20 kms of race. Paolo Bettini attacks the group with 50 kms to go and creates a gap with 2 other riders. On the last climb, with 3 kms to go, Kim tries everything and explodes his group, but it's too late to get back to Bettini, in his last race with the green-white-red jersey. Frank Schleck was once more able to follow the best on the last climb.

Tour de Suisse (7th stage)

Kirchen: 58th at 11'41" / Schleck: 3rd at 14" of Georg Totschnig

Fantastic performance of Frank Schleck battling with the big contenders and taking 3rd place in this mountain stage, before Jan Ullrich who loses his golden jersey for several seconds to Fabian Jeker. It's Georg Totschnig who starts the fight with 3 kms to go and the only riders who could follow his move were Jeker, Del Olmo and Frank Schleck, who moves up to 29th in general classification. Kim Kirchen tried to get into an early break today, hoping that the field would let him go now he was no longer dangerous for the overall win. He didn't succeed and lost some more time in the last climb today. He is now 27th in the general classification.

Tour de Suisse (6th stage)

Kirchen: 37th at 9'20" / Schleck: 19th at 5'26" of Niki Aebersold

Bad day for Kim who suffered and was not able to be with the best today on the biggest stage over two HC climbs. He loses a lot of time and is now 22nd in the general classification, 6'45" behind Ullrich still leader. Frank Schleck stayed with his leader Bobby Julich, who also had difficulties, and helped him to limit the damage on the last climb. He comes up nicely to 35th position overall.

Tour de Suisse (5th stage)

Kirchen: 4th at 4'30" / Schleck: 15th at 4'30" of Robert Hunter

The two luxemburgish riders are in the first group of 17 riders again today, where the favourites remained quite quiet on the wet climb to Adelboden. Frank Schleck in a group with 2 other riders, then Kim Kirchen tried to break away with several hundred meters to go, without success, but the Fassa Bortolo rider could win the sprint for the 4th place, far behind the 3 men of the early break.

Tour de Suisse (2nd stage)

Kirchen: 4th at 0" / Schleck: 27th at 0" of Robbie McEwen

Massive sprint on the 2nd stage. Both our Luxemburgish riders were very attentive at the front of the pack in the last kilometers and Kim did the sprint. Starting from about 10th position, he finally managed to be 4th of the stage. In the overall classification, he moves up to 11th place.

Tour de Suisse (1st stage)

Kirchen: 28th at 15" / Schleck: 46th at 18'38" of Jan Ullrich

Kirchen attentive: to the surprise of everyone, the first stage of this Tour de Suisse was not marked by a massive sprint, but by the aggressive ride of the T-Mobile team around Jan Ullrich and Vinokourov who managed to split the field very early. The German is first in the sprint for the stage win in front of 5 riders, a few seconds before the rest of the 35 men of this "royal" break, among them the Luxemburgish rider. Frank Schleck finishes in the main field, far behind the break.
